Travel has to earn its place, so these jobs work best where the panel count is high: farms and packhouses, game lodges, factories, retail centres, and owners who can group several nearby sites into one visit. If you can coordinate with a neighbour or two, the trip cost is shared and the per-panel rate comes down.
Agricultural dust and mining fallout soil panels far faster than anything in the city, and the dry seasons are longer with less natural rinsing. Most out-of-province sites we look after settle into a clean every four to six months rather than annually.

Usually not on its own — the travel outweighs the job. It works when the panel count is high, or when a few nearby properties book together. Send us your location and panel count and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.
Per site, with the travel component shown up front so there are no surprises. The cleaning itself is still charged per panel at our normal rate: R35 below 100 panels and R25 from 100 panels.

RobCon Electrical charges R35 per panel for arrays below 100 panels, and R25 per panel for arrays of 100 panels or more. A minimum call-out applies and prices exclude VAT. A 12-panel home system therefore starts at around R420 excluding VAT.
Most solar systems in Gauteng benefit from a professional clean every 6 to 12 months. Clean more often if the property is near construction, on a busy road, surrounded by trees, close to mines or industrial areas, or frequently visited by birds. Waiting until panels look dirty usually means production has already been lost.
